It is still winter, but why wait until spring to see the colors? Now you can contrast dark clouds and sad thoughts with bright, cheerful colors.
They whet your appetite for the warmer months!
Romantic: Pantone colors
The two Pantone colors of the year are ideal for the spring
months: the delicate and feminine Rose Quartz and the elegant and calm Serenity
will make the hearts of fashion beat faster this season! The two shades go well
with bright or creamy white, but they also work wonderfully as a duo. Romantic
elements like ruffles or bows go well with the two delicate colors. Since the
two colors are relatively harmonious, they radiate calm and serenity for
moments of relaxation and spring well-being.
In addition to the delicate pastel duo, the other colors in
the current Pantone Fashion Report are also worth a detour. "Colors take
us to a happier, sunnier place this season, where we feel free to express a
more original version of who we are," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive
director of the Pantone Color Institute, summarizing the selection. From the
Color Report...
"Because our culture is still fraught with so much
uncertainty, we continue to long for those softer tones that provide a sense of
calm and relaxation. The cheerful Peachy Orange Peach Echo, for example, is a
bit louder. The unusual Green Flash is fresh and full of energy. And Buttercup
is the ultimate spring wellness color with its wonderfully radiant yellow!
The checks are back
Plaids are a typical winter motif, particularly evident in
fashionable capes or scarves in fall, but fashion is also "plaid" in
spring and summer. While Victoria Beckham showed off a white, dark gray, and
burgundy plaid pattern for her collection, Stella McCartney used bright white
and red plaids for her collared short-sleeved maxi dress. Wes Gordon,
meanwhile, dressed hers in a white-gray-blue plaid with a black lace pattern.
Chanel, Hermès, Prada, and Celine also showed off their interpretations of the
plaid look.
Carmen trend from Spain
Anyone who dreams of summer already can't wait to dive into
the good Carmen trend often seen on the spring-summer runways, including Diane
von Fürstenberg, Michael Kors, and Peter Copping for Oscar de la Renta. Not
only strapless tops, sequins, and ruffles are in fashion here, but bright and
sexy read as well. Blouses, ruffled skirts, and dresses are in that color, or a
romantic Carmen pink gives the outfit a slight Spanish touch.
Orange is the color of fashion
Orange represents playfulness, lightness, energy, and
radiates warmth and is a more unusual striking color than red. Like a solid or
fresh orange-red apricot, the tone corresponds to the spring type, generally
with fair skin and light hair, while the summer type often has a complexion
with a bluish hue, better to use an orange with a dominant bluish. Winter
types, and those who have not yet dared to go for the bright color, should try
the trend in unique accessories or carefully in patterns. For their part, the
creators have opted for a daring and fresh all-over.
Color Blocks - Color Block Stripes Are Back
Color blocking is back! Color block, cross, or length
stripes provide fresh color accents. Bright colors are not only paired with
solid white or beige, but with other shades of color - Victoria Beckham, for
example, is mixed with yellow, green, and orange. Issey Miyake and Elie Saab
are also totally banking on the relaxed color-blocking style.
